Implementation started
The measure includes the collection of information on threatened species and biotopes to prepare programmes of measures where needed. Special focus is placed on species and biotopes included in the EU Birds and Habitats Directives. The programmes of measures can cover the protection of one species or biotope or that of several groups of species and biotopes. If necessary, programmes of measures can be prepared in cooperation with other countries.
Objective of the measure:
The Government of Åland continues to carry out necessary assessments and inventories with the aim of collecting the information needed to protect threatened species and biotopes in order to ensure that programmes of measures can be prepared in the future to protect and maintain habitats for species that are in need of such protection.
