Previously, some fish farms were located close to land and in more stagnant water, which resulted in the accumulation of feed residues and excrement under the fish farms. The actual situation underneath closed fish farms must be established and remedied, where necessary, by using new dredging techniques. In accordance with the new requirements in the current legislation, fish farms have now been located in places where water flows more effectively.
